Small bones found at playground site on Northern Beaches

A small collection of bones have been found at a playground on Sydney's Northern Beaches, with police currently working to determine if they are human.
The bones were found at lunchtime on Thursday at Clontarf Reserve, near Clontarf Beach, at Middle Harbour, beneath a popular children's playground which is currently undergoing improvements.

UPDATE 6 November 2021: NSW Police have confirmed with Manly Observer this morning that the bones found at Clontarf playground and taken for forensic testing and have come back as “not human”.

What they were exactly, remains a mystery.
