Mystery as truck driver Danny Martin vanishes in NSW Riverina after radioing bosses to say he was helping a man
"A truck driver has mysteriously vanished and his vehicle found abandoned after he radioed his boss to say he had pulled over to help someone."
Apparently the last time they heard from him was around 4.30am on Thursday (QLD time) when he said he was helping "a new guy". The company said they do not have any one broken down in that area, but I wonder if he was simply talking about another rookie truckie who was not related with the company.
The rig was found abandoned, parked in "an odd way" at the Widgiewa rest area south of Narrandera.
"The sleeper’s air conditioning was running, the keys were in the ignition, tools were sitting on the step of the truck, and Martin was nowhere to be seen."
This immediately gave me major David Schultz vibes. Except he did say he was helping someone and his tools where out so maybe this there is actual foul play involved this time.
Hoping he will just turn up ok somewhere.
