Identified! Australia - Live Female, thought over 70, Nambour Hospital, Queensland, 6 Sept 2020 - name withheld

I wonder, could she change her name, or to do that would she have to reveal the name she's changing from ?

Please don't say Remakel or Florabella or I'll scream...

I'm also wondering if she really does remember who she is.
Or is she just too embarrassed and maybe stressed because she really doesn't remember who she is. If that makes sense.

Could her children have been unable to return home during COVID. Otherwise I can’t think of an excuse why her immediate family did not check on her. I know many parents who moved away for their retirement, one partner dies and the other is left alone in a new area.
The trustee and Guardian will make sure she has benefits and she will be well cared for.

Awww that's good to know that she'll be taken care of.

ACAT (Aged Care Assessment Team) will assess her for anything she will require including pension benefits, accomodation and any medical she needs. The woman who helped us with our mum was an absolute angel.

Was DNA used to rule her out as Marion Barter?

Same coloured eyes and I think a very similar mouth, Similar jaw line, slightly different ear lobes, the nose and brows are different but we do change with age.
Curly hair can change to straight because grey hair is thicker and wiry.
I do see strong similarities Loxoli.

I’m just confused because I feel like if she was Marion, they would have to respect her wishes to not identify herself so how could it be ruled out? It seems like it would be exactly how someone who chose to disappear years ago would react if they were forced into hospital and asked who they were..

Oh and they have reduced her age down to 70s, so the age now fits exactly.

I didn't think she looked anywhere near 80s or 90s.

I'm still amazed that no one has said they know her. Unless they have since she's woken up and they can't reveal it, because it would go against her wishes ?

Well as you and I and other Aussies know, not everything in Oz goes straight on the internet or to MSM like the US. It’s not necessarily true that no one recognized her, perhaps we just didn’t know about it.
