GUILTY Australia - Michelle Buckingham, 16, murdered, Shepparton, Vic, 21 Oct 1983

Gregory 'Punchy' Gleadhill, the 'uncomplicated' guy who confessed to killing Michelle, when in reality he had absolutely nothing to do with it, had to live with Shepparton's stares and whispers for nearly 30 years.

When the crime was finally solved, Ron Iddles went as far as to make a public plea for people to stop rediculing Gleadhill and apparently it had a very positive effect.
