Sydney gang rapes - Wikipedia :
The Sydney gang rapes were a series of gang rape attacks committed by a group of up to fourteen Lebanese Australian youths led by Bilal Skaf against Australian women and teenage girls,[1] as young as 14, in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia across several days in 2000. The crimes, described as ethnically motivated hate crimes by officials and commentators,[2][3][4] were covered extensively by the news media, and prompted the passing of new laws. In 2002, the nine men convicted of the gang rapes were sentenced to a total of more than 240 years in jail. According to court transcripts, Judge Michael Finnane described the rapes as events that "you hear about or read about only in the context of wartime atrocities".[5]

Men like this are irredeemable. I am intellectually against the death penalty (as it gives the power to kill to the state) but ideally men like this should be put down.

This makes my blood boil, especially the fact that the victims' had their accounts of the racial abuse they suffered censored. The reaction of the Lebanese community leaders is appallingly selfish, they seemingly think that they are the victims because it made them look bad, rather than the young girls who were actually brutally gang raped for the colour of their skin.

Skaf, 38, will be released to his family home in Greenacre, where his parents Baria and Mustapha have lived for decades.

Neighbours in the street who have seen younger brother Hadi burning up and down on his motorcycle will now have to contend with a convicted rapist in their midst.

And just like that he’s officially out. Sounds like he didn’t get a warm welcome home, thankfully.

He has ALLEDGEDLY and IN MY OPINION and POSSIBLY just pulled the classic stalker move of applying for an order against somone he is ALLEDGEDLY stalking.

And FACEPALM it was granted!!!

I am outraged and not particularly surprised.
I will keep my thoughts about the law enforcement and judiciary involved to myself right now.

But I still can't believe the court system allows itself to be abused this way on a regular basis.
Why is it not essential for telephone company provided phone records to be presented for example? It's not hard to HYPOTHETICALLY fake messages and screenshots so that shouldn't be enough by itself. They should be officially corroborated.

And its not like this is new or they havent had time to deal with this abuse of the system. For example the singer Daniel John's went through this decades ago.

Now this poor woman needs a good lawyer. Please if you know any good criminal lawyers in Sydney show them this story!

She also possibly needs a bodyguard so please reach out to any decent security professionals you know in Sydney also.

thanks for bumping this up
geez this is unbelievable and sickening
how did this sicko ever get released?
I have some reading to do ...
It’ll be interesting when his older brother gets released. He was always characterised as the ringleader and has apparently never shown remorse…
Not that any of them are any better than any of the others. IMO.

I haven't had a chance yet to read all the details of this crime. Actually I'm not sure I'll have the stomach for it.

They're ALLEDGEDLY convinced they didn't do anything wrong and are victims of injustice. Their mother ALLEDGEDLY believes the same.
Here is an account from the judge of her behavior: Pack rapist Bilal Skaf's mother threatened victims in court

They REPORTEDLY expect to get out and get married and ĥave children.
I can't believe both of them may have ALLEDGEDLY found a girlfriend for a while.

It's all completely mental IN MY OPINION.

Ah, ALLEDGEDLY blackmail was her motivation
Now it makes sense
I wonder if his ego will allow him to realise that's what her interest was all along IN MY OPINION

she's plead guilty

Nothing like a drug supplier hooking up with a gang rapist. What a bright future children of theirs could have! Such a shame it ended after only two months. IMO.
