That's incorrect RE Roberto being the only grandson mentioned. All Grandchildren were mentioned.

Sorry didnt mean any disrespect Alot of this forum is speculation so I was informed very early on. I only know what I have been told as do others.

I guess the question some folks seem to have posed is what was Sam doing for an income most recently? How long had he been unemployed? A lot of the speculation about Sam's financial position was around what he was doing most recently to financially support himself.

Verification Process for Professional or Insider Posters

If you would like to add yourself as an expert in a certain field or as an insider to a case, please send an email to [email protected]

If you do not wish to be identified as an expert in a certain area, we ask that you refrain from answering questions that are specifically directed to those that have been verified as specialist in their area and that you do not claim to be a professional in any area.

If a member posts with "expertise" please check to make sure they are on this list. If not, please do not take their post as professional information, but rather just as another opinion; much as you would with any member of the general posting membership.

Locals who are describing the area or are members of the gyms and that sort of thing do not need to be verified.

We only verify people who know the players or have been named in the media, etc. This does not include people who may befriend a player on internet social media and then wish to post about it.

Ok so I just watched the interview with his parents and have some questions.......

https://www.facebook.com/130736376939223/videos/1455772171102297

1. His father becomes agitated and stutters when he is asked about how Sam afforded the car. When the line of questioning stops he stops stuttering.

2. When asked if he knew any of SAMs friends he says no - not by name. But in a later comment says they are recieving a lot of support from sams close friends? And the stuttering returns.

3. When questioned about sams lifestyle his father starts to stutter again saying there is no way they suspect anything bad that they know of. He wouldn't leave his dog for more than 1 or 2 hours alone. (So one theory is that Sam thought he would be home soon?)

4. When asked about his nature, his father says in ice hockey Sam was fearless and was state captain (I think) and says he wouldn't hurt anyone - he was a lover not a fighter. Yet in sams own words on Facebook he describes being banned for a match for fighting at ice hockey?

Thoughts?

All things I observed also. Not saying the Dad wasn't totally devastated but some of his answers didn't quite seem authentic. But I always just wondered if he was incredibly distressed.

Oh yes me too. I can't imagine.

This is why I think their speech may have "prepared".

Stuttering can be hidden under a controlled discussion, but under stress can revert. Depends on the triggers.
My neighbour stutters when speaking with my hubby, but not me.
I just found the stuttering on major points of the conference that everyone is questioning. He faltered on the key "hot topics" and wife says at one point when he was describing sams personality she says "that's enough"..... of course she may be distressed - I'd be beside myself in fact I wouldn't be able to face anyone let alone media.

This makes me think more that this will end up being HUGE when it all comes out.

I alternate between huge and the simplest answer being the actual one. Polar opposite theories LOL.

My take on the video press conference is that Sam's dad was very upset about talking about his son whom i think he knew something bad had happened to Sam. At one point i got that he was trying to hold back from crying.
Dad also when mentioning Sam's car was that he stated something about the bank taking care of it, after Sam had told his dad about purchasing the car.
Also mentioned by dad was the fact Sam had many friends, some close ones known to the family, but a lot of others not known by name to his family.
I just got a very upsetting situation all round, and admired their being able to get up there and plead for anyone knowing anything about Sam's whereabouts to call the police.
And perhaps Sam's dad was nervous about not divulging certain things that police didn't want mentioned?
I don't think there was anything suspicious at all they were holding back on, IMO.

I certainly wouldn't want to judge having to be in Sam's family's situation. Unless anyone has been through something like that we have no idea IMO. It is really annoying that some people want to judge a grieving family who's son certainly didn't deserve to be murdered. There is no way to spin it that makes it okay. Not in my book anyway.
And if someone is criminally insane they need to be locked up away from the rest of society. All JMO

First time posting but I've been following from the start, I'm always playing catch up as you're all a day ahead of me so don't usually have anything to add but I rewatched the presser and I'm a bit puzzled about where the robbery took place.

I thought I'd read upthread that it was at Sam's parents house and he moved out the next day but that's not what his Dad said when asked about the robbery.

Do we know for sure whose house it was?

TIA

I didn't get the impression they were holding anything back either but I do think they knew at that time that Sam was already dead, I know there was a mix of tenses but his Dad spoke of him mostly in the past

I wasn't judging and I don't think slinky was either. We were just discussing aspects of the Dad's behaviour. It's been acknowledged up thread that the presser and circumstances around it would have been distressing for the family.

No one is bashing ST or his family. No one is saying ST deserved to die. People, however, are allowed to speculate on ST's potential involvement in illegal things that may have factored into the sad outcome that transpired. People are also allowed to speculate on things that have been published/shown in MSM.

It's not victim bashing or judging. It's an opinion.

MSM reported the robbery as at a residence in Sapsford St and this has been confirmed as ST's family home.

Agree. I felt like the Dad was struggling to stay in the same tenses/on script but that just could have been stress or exhaustion.

Karinna I wasn't judging. It was MOO from watching a MSM video.
I was very compassionate in my comments.
I was noting behaviour that I found to be out of context and odd.
We all have opinions - it's what we are here for!
Just because we have an opinion we are not victim bashing and I certainly didn't do that.
Please take the comments in the context they are written [emoji4]
I have respected all of your opinions even though I think some of them are harsh.
For example - "and if someone is criminally insane they need to be locked up away from the rest of society"......... that's not really compassionate either. Criminally insane where proven are victims too.
But I respect your opinion.
Have a great day I have to go to work [emoji4][emoji4][emoji4]
