Yes, Bruce Roberts has lived at the property for 40-50yrs and he is in his 50's/60's? Hope I'm right with that. The body found is that of a male in his 30's/40's.

Or possibly an intruder...the mind boggles!

You're welcome :). Yes, interesting they are both known to police. I wonder if Mr Roberts may have lived with a son or other family member? There appears to be a generational age gap.
Could be a same sex relationship.

Has anyone else ever wondered what was buried under the hoards in some houses? I have, and this does not surprise me at all.

Wow. How bizarre.

The body was wrapped in carpet and left in the living room. Not exactly much effort put into hiding the body and yet the media release states that Mr Roberts is not a suspect at this stage..... Seems od

'Highly unusual': Mummified body found in 'hoarder's house' has police scratching heads

I'm baffled he's not immediately a suspect. I mean what are the chances a burglar entered his home, got injured, rolled himself up in a rug and died without the owner being aware?

I was just thinking that the UID man’s body must have been in the house when Mr Robert’s body was discovered almost a year ago. I wonder who discovered him? Police doing a welfare check or his cousin?

If his hoarding was inside the house too, a rolled up carpet may not have looked out of place. Or someone could have dumped the body there. That would be an easy way to carry a body.

Mr Roberts was found due to a welfare check. The local supermarket manager noticed he hadn't been in for a while, normally he was in every day. I'll try to find a link

My newsagent asked one of my friends to check on me when I hadn't been for my daily walk with my dog to buy my paper, when I hadn't been in for four days. I had a bad dose of flu, but I did appreciate that thoughtfulness.

So the police visited the home last year while another man’s mummified remains were lying undiscovered in the living room? Woops!

If an old man was found dead in his home from natural causes, I am not sure that they would think to search the house for other dead bodies, especially if he was known to live alone.

Maybe evidence indicates the remains are more recent than Mr. Roberts' death?
