Heres a case I found from Australia on the Unidentified Wiki that I thought I should post here. The decedent was found buried at a creek bank in a doubled-up position. This case is believed to be a homicide as the decedent was shot once or twice at close range in the chest and face.

Circumstances of Recovery: On April 6, 1954, a farmer in Strath Creek, Australia, took a break from ploughing fields and walked over to King Parrot Creek to fill a can with water from the creek. While there, he noticed a piece of rotten cloth sticking out from the ground. Upon closer inspection, he discovered it was part of a blouse with a bone sticking out. Scattered around the area were a set of dentures and other bones. He alerted his fellow farmhands, who confirmed the discovery, and the three of them called the police. Investigators from Melbourne responded to the call and conducted the investigation.

The one missing person I found who was officially ruled out as being the decedent was Phyllis Page who went missing in the summer of 1950. Her husband was convicted of her murder even though her body wasn't found. However, she was eventually ruled out as her husband had an alibi and was over 600 km away from where she disappeared in Strath Creek. Also she was wearing winter clothing whereas page went missing in the summer.
