ETA Thank you for this iamshadow. Now I will rant.

We need some out of the box action to deter this violence. Too long and too many beautiful mothers, wives, girlfriends, sisters killed. The impact is huge, children with mothers lost, children needing to enter care due to violence in the home, young boys growing up exposed to perpetrator behaviour. Women needing to stay in violent relationships to keep a roof over their children’s heads. As a communitywe often know who the abusers are, we have good screening tools, and a decent system to identify risk. But still this happens. There must be more at the point of an AVO being sought.

So sad for Shirley and her family and friends.
