Hi everyone, back from work and just caught up on the posts... wow you guys were busy! I have a lot I'd like to respond to, but don't know how to do multiple quotes so am open to tutoring :blushing:
I am not offended by my thoughts being shot down, and I appreciate your saying you didn't mean offense. I have specialized in working with delinquents for a long time, so it takes a lot to offend me
I agree that I am not an expert on AZ, haven't been there since '95. I appreciate that we all have different areas of knowledge, and mine is different than the one you described, Bernina. That being said, I have worked with teens who have been forced and/ or manipulated into prostitution from areas such as the rich suburbs outside of D.C. I have worked with kids in gangs that shared with me how they get girls they can pimp, retaliate disrespect with murder and torture, and in a survey I did in a high school in a large southeastern city, I found that 1-2% of the kids who actually made it to school that day had been involved in prostitution (either side of it). Especially in this global- tech age, it is pretty easy to take a pic/ video and work out a sell on line. Working in this city with youth, I have had training opportunities regarding human trafficking because it is so prevalent throughout the US, including this city. I have listened to stories from gang members about them kidnapping, drugging girls to gang bang for days, and sell to sexual predators. They weren't lying to me, it was confidential and they felt safe to share.
I have found websites that sell sex videos, etc of girls that are clearly underage and drugged, directly linked to gangs, including one that uses signs and colors similar to an associate of someone Adrienne knew.
I have been privy to too much to share, but suffice it to say that I have encountered a group of sex predators working together to stalk and kidnap girls & teens for use and sell. And this was in a rural area, not where you would expect such things to occur.
I have found that nasty, nasty stuff happens everywhere, and I'm sure it happens there, too. And I know for a fact that gang members do a heck of a lot more than they get busted for, and intimidation works wonders. This is where I am coming from. Some people Adrienne knew come from criminal families, and therefore are more likely to be criminals themselves. I'm glad we all have different knowledge bases so, together, we know a lot!
As for the video and the former homicide detective, I wish my computer's volume worked!!!!!! I did watch, though, and agree that the snippet was strategically placed which really has me thinking... He doesn't match the description of the guys in the car with the screaming trunk, but I still think there could very likely be more than one person involved. Has anyone noticed any of the RSOs looking like him? Guessing LE already checked... He def. looks suspicious and is wearing gloves! But maybe he was looking to knock the store off instead? No idea and curious... Can we get the former detective to join us? That would be AWESOME!!!
I wanna know more about the screaming trunk- is Mesa on route to the projected dump site?
