UPDATED INFORMATION IN THE SEARCH FOR MISSING PERSON: BRUCE DOWNEY

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue is requesting assistance from the public in the search for Bruce Downey. He has some medical concerns and has been missing since Sunday (9/29) morning near the area of John L Avenue and Melody Street. He has been saying he wants to go back to Oregon. He has previously been a truck driver and may be seen near truck stops. He may appear to be disoriented and/or confused. He may also use random names instead of Bruce Downey, as a result of his current mental status. He has previously been located near off/on ramps and along Stockton Hill Road and Northern. He has been said to be wearing jean shorts and a t-shirt of unknown color, with slippers that have the fuzzy inside. If you have any information on the whereabouts of Bruce Downey, please contact the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at 928-753-0753.

Missing Arizona man could be headed to Oregon; might use random names to identify self

• Downey is approx 5'6" tall and weighs about 180 pounds
• He has blue eyes and grey & white hair, with a beard
• He is said to be wearing jean shorts, a t-shirt (color unknown) with slippers that are fuzzy inside
  
• He is a smoker (per flyer)

I don't see it mentioned anywhere about a particular location in Oregon that he's associated with or might want to return to. It would be helpful in terms of looking in that area in addition to watching major traffic routes. I hope he's okay!

Found deceased.

At about 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 deputies responded to a desert area off of Interstate 40 near Shinarump Drive in reference to a deceased male subject. The deputies arrived on scene and identified the male subject as Downey.
