AZ - Dalmer Hussen, 18, Phoenix, Murdered, Other Sexual Assaults, 2000 *Arrest in 2020*

*Status Conference Hearing (Both cases) (@ 1:30pm PT) - AZ - *Dalmer Hussen (18) (Sept. 24, 2000 attacking while walking home from a friend’s house in Phoenix, found Sept. 25, 2000 in a vacant lot) – *Lance David Ray (32 @ time of crime/52/now 56) was charged (12/27/20), indicted (1/7/21) & arraigned (1/19/21) with 2nd degree intentional murder. Held without bond. Plead not guilty.
*Lance David Ray (52/now 56) was arrested (10/23/20 in Bloomington, IN. & extradited to AZ) (in connection with 3 separate incidents in 2000 after DNA evidence linked him to the crimes for a 14 yr. old & 17 yr. old) & charged & indicted (10/23/20) & arraigned (11/25/20) with 2 counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 2 counts of kidnapping (death/injury/sexual), 2 counts of sexual conduct with a minor & 2 counts of sexual assault. Plead not guilty. Held without bond.
Trial was set to begin on 3/18/24 was cancelled. Plead no contest to 2nd degree intentional murder & 2 counts of 6 for sexual assault. Sentencing hearing on 3/18/24 was cancelled.

3/11/24 Update: No info on hearing. Next sentencing hearing on 3/18/24 @ 1:30pm. 3/15/24 Update: Sentencing/Disposition reset on 3/20/24.
3/20/24 Update: No info if sentencing hearing happened. Court site has status conference hearing on 3/25/24 @ 1:30pm.

No idea WHAT the sentence was - tried searching but not coming up with anything recent - like yesterday... unfortunately the court site does not say what his sentence is - just imprisonment.

I'm not sure. I just k ew there was an incident with a 14 yr old boy in Peoria. I thought Illinois, but I guess it could be AZ.

LDR was arrested in Dec 2020 and has a release date of Dec 2024, so 20 years including time served. Weird how there's been no reporting.
