AZ AZ - Jiyeon Lee, 33, Taehee Kim, 59, and Junghee Kim, 54 Missing After Leaving Grand Canyon

I haven’t been following for a few days, but it was reported as burning for 20 hours. That confirms for me that a lithium-ion battery was probably involved, but I haven’t seen it confirmed.
Haven't seen it confirmed either. Would like to know what started this fire? Please keep us updated if you receive any new information

An article from March 26, said of the additional remains found:

Bart Graves with Arizona DPS told CNN on Wednesday, that only “small portions of human remains” had been located. “Of these portions, we cannot even determine at this point in time if those remains are from the same body or different bodies,” he said.

“The Yavapai County Medical Examiner’s Office is diligently working to ascertain whether identification is possible,” the sheriff’s office said.

“Whether identification is possible”…wow 🤯 😟

A crash involving 22 vehicles in poor visibility (a white-out snowstorm) was the cause of the fire. I doubt if we’ll hear anything more than that.
I haven't seen it specified, but a crash involving 22 vehicles seems possible if not likely to have involved more than one electric vehicle, which would have affected the post-crash fire. MOO

KBB plate lookup shows it as a gas model. This model is a "mild hybrid" like many modern cars. That would mean it had a small hybrid battery, but wasn't an EV per se.

Can a pile up burn for 20 hours with no other fuel involved?

I agree, wondering if this was a lithium fire?
