Circumstances of Disappearance:
Varela was reported missing by her mother on January 6, 2003. She had last seen her daughter in September, three months earlier, when Varela and her boyfriend visited her in Las Vegas, Nevada. She has never been heard from again.

At the time of her disappearance, Varela was living with her boyfriend on Willow Creek Ranch Road, thirty miles east of Kingman, Arizona. His house was foreclosed on January 1, 2003. The new property owner found bullet holes in the residence, but no evidence of foul play was uncovered during a police search.

Valera's boyfriend was questioned on January 7, 2003 regarding her disappearance and stated he had last seen her in August of 2002. He had left their residence to go into Kingman and when he returned she was gone. He didn't report it to police as she had a history of leaving and would return a short time later. His statement contradicts Varela's mother's report that they visited her together in Nevada in September. Few details are available regarding Varela's disappearance and her whereabouts remain unknown.

I found a FB missing persons group that her sister and daughter commented on, but I wasn't sure if I should link it since it isn't a family run page...one of them said Kimberly left behind 7 children. I hope she can be found someday soon!
