The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Please forgive me, I'm on my phone, so I'll add the description later.

Quick Summary: A guy was found South of Quartzite, AZ on Dec 18, 2020. Decedent likely expired in 2020. He had an ID for "Justin William Olson" with him, but LE are seeking for next of kin to confirm.

________

What I found so far:
There is a Justin William Olson born in 1946 in MN.

There is also one born in 1970 in the same area. I'm thinking it might be his son, but I need to investigate further.

edit: Found him on mugshots.com: https://mugshots.com/US-States/New-...m04H-XsIczfAB1jqccIvQ55RjOQFMN9eCkO0ydwO57p3g

Will have to dig into the MN family a little more. Finding relatives seems doable.

So, according to that booking info, he was either in NM in or since 2009. I’ll see what I can find.

It also lists a DOB (which matches what you found on the MN birth record).
Birth date : 9/01/1946

wow great find..

i saw on facebook that someone said that his nickname was "Red" and that he'd been travelling between Humboldt County and Arizona a lot.

i still have to try and check out two marriage licenses that both feature a justin w. olson, but at the moment it could be any of the three i found so far.

for reference there is one born in 1947, likely our guy, one born in 1970 that could be his son and one born in 1980 that i think is unrelated.

I’m not able to connect the younger JWO to the elder. There’s a different father listed on his birth record.

Also, no luck with obits. One public tree (out of several) shows he has 3 siblings, presumably living. I’ve found one other child of Ralph and Mary’s; a female born in 1951, initials CLO. Nothing else yet.

Hi I found a load of info on this man last Sunday lunchtime, including his relatives from an obit of his mother, (At least I'm postive it is him due to the age and state and past addresses matching up) . I sent the info off to Namus co-ordinator who confirmed in return email Monday
"This is great – thank you so much. I am working with the ME’s office on all this. We appreciate your diligence and assistance. I will keep you posted if this pans out!".
I'm very impressed with how quick the co-ordinator replied , quite a rarity for me!

Yes that's him, the obit I found his dad was Ralph.
Thanks for reaching out to NamUs! I had no luck with finding a living relative. Although, I’m sure he has at least one sister. I kept hitting dead ends. Hopefully they can locate someone based on this information. That response is rather unusual in my experience too...fingers crossed!
