Anyone heard of this case. Very sad. The case was solved back in 1961 it was a serial killer who killed this beautiful little girl. I am trying to find if there is a autopsy report or FBI reports i like to read about the case more.


"Marguerita Bejarano was eight years old in March, 1961 when she accepted a ride from Cozzie Merrill Jones while walking to Roosevelt Elementary School."
The girl lived in Tucson, Arizona.

Residence: 138 West Flores, Tucson, Pima County. Occupation: student. At the time of her death on March 24, 1961, she was age 8 years. Cause of Death: penetrating bullet wounds, brain. Inquest pending. Place of Death: Eight miles north of Tucson. Informant for Certificate: Mrs. Maria Bejarano, Tucson, Arizona. Burial March 29, 1961, Holy Hope Cemetery, Tucson, Arizona.

This beautiful little girl at the time of her kidnapping was wearing a lavender dress and a dark navy blue sweater over her dress, and was wearing black and white sandle shoes. She wore her hair braided as two pigtails. I can imagine now what this beautiful little girl looked like.

She was heading to school when a men a escape convict took her for a ride in his car.

The little girl body was found 3 days later after her being missing. Her lavender dress and navy blue sweater were found over the top of her head, she was naked. And her tiny undies were removed from her body. The autopsy revealed she was raped and molested.

Marguerita was described by her 3rd grade teacher as a very sweet and lovely child who had many friends and got along with all her classmates in her 3rd grade class and also other classes.

When the mother discovered the news of her little girl's dead body the mother almost collapsed in grief and at her child's funeral when seeing her tiny child's coffin and seeing her tiny child dead she almost fell to the ground in complete grief the mother didn't want to go on anymore. I believe the parents died in 2011 when they were in their late 70s. I can't imagine what they went through losing their young child.

Reading about her case is so tragic as i read through the reports she not only died in which she was brutally killed by a serial killer 'Cozzie Merill Jones' but the little girl had an abusive home and sad life at home, her father was a 'monster' and would beat little Marguerita Bejarano with a stap or belt as he was 'extremely strict' with her, even through she was a very well behave child, he would hit her for small stuff like making to much noise when playing or coming home to late from school.

Her father didn't want her to play with the neighbor kids and if he seen her playing with other children he would beat her. The father was cheating on his wife and like the women in town or other areas outside of town. The wife (Maria Bejarano) wanted to divorce him as the father (Lazaro Bejarano) as he treated his wife very poorly and beats Marguerita all the time.

Marguerita was a very shy little girl and talked very little when around her friends and other people like teacher ect. She was a very sweet little girl but very quite and would get very nervous especially when she had to get home before dark as she would get a big beaten by her father. A police interviewed one of Marguerita's friend who was in the same class was 8 years old (when Marguerita when missing) 8 year old Marguerita told her friend that she needed to get home quickly or her dad will beat her.

Marguerita always wondered why she always got into trouble when she was not even being naughty and just being a kid, she cry's a lot. She was described by her teacher, friends, classmates, grandma and everyone who knew the sweet precious child. She was described as sweet little girl, but very quiet and nervous child, she was very obedient which her teacher and principal described about her.

Her father broke her spirit.

The father beats his kids and also drinks a lot. But just a few weeks before Marguerita's murder he didn't drink a lot.

Marguerita was an very unhappy child at her home life and had an unpleasant home life (this was told by April her grandma when she was interviewed by the police when Marguerita was missing), even Marguerita's mother was a bit strict with her.

Marguerita favorite person is her grandma which she loves dearly and cares for her so much, Marguerita's grandma 'April Bejarano' wanted to adopt Marguerita as she was being neglected at her home.

When Marguerita was 6 years old she ran away from home and was found at her grandmother home, her father beaten her.

Two weeks before she was sadly kidnapped and killed by the serial killer 'Cozzie Merill Jones' Lazaro (Marguerita's father) beat her hard with a belt which left bruises on her, The grandmother April mentioned this when she was being interviewed by the police of Marguerita's disappearance, April mentioned that her grand-daughter Marguerita showed her the bruises to her in which the grandmother cried to the police after telling them this.

I cried when reading the report, her home is so sad. And she was a beautiful little girl a sweet child. Not only that she was murdered her life at home was just so sad.

I have all the police reports. If you like to read about it send me a PM and i can send it to your email. Its a very large file so i need to send it through a online email service that lets me upload the file to you. All you need to do is open the link in your email and download the file. Its in PDF file and around 310 pages, there are photos but the quality of the photos are very very bad quality you probably can't see them at all, but a lot of the police files you be able to read a few of the police files are unreadable but there are duplicates of those pages which are readable.

I don't know who you are, why you are so interested in this case or even if you will get this. Marguerita Angela Bejarano was my sister. She was murdered 8 years before I was born. You said some serious things about my parents. Things I have NEVER experienced. And I am told I am the spitting image of Marguerita. If you do get this, if you do have information ... I would like to know. Thank you.

I never said it was a cold case and I didn't say it was solved. Whoever is looking into my sister's life/death is the one saying anything. I just asked for the information they claim to have to prove everything they are saying about my parents.

Yes, I agree!!! My sister's death was very tragic. I am finding out things that I don't think my mom knew. She told me about Guerita and what happened to her, but some of the things she told me and some of the things I have read, are not matching up. Then I read that whole thing about my dad being a monster and beating her. I wasn't even born yet, but I would like to know if any of this is true and where they got the information. My mom and dad had six children and outlived 4 of them. My mom went through so much, and so much I witnessed. I miss her greatly and not a day goes by without me thinking/talking to her. I know, whatever the case, she is now with Guerita and is happy. I apologize. Did not mean to go on a tirade.

Thank you for that. I'm doing a lot of research, but so much information is wrong. They had my mom's moms name incorrect. They said her name was Abril Bejarano, but it was Margarita F. Abril. I live very close to where my sister lived when she was killed. I just want to see the house.
