Okay, so I started a new thing with Does 2 days ago. Every other day I will post new Doe cases from the last year or from over 30 years ago. 3 a day, a John, a Jane, and an unknown. Here’s today’s John Doe, Phoenix John Doe 2023. Here’s his Namus.
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)
On April 18, 2023, the body of a young man was found near 51st Avenue and Hadley Street. The decedent was determined to be a white male, about 20-35. His face was in recognizable condition, suggesting he had only been there since around the day he was found or maybe the day before.
The decedent had sandy colored hair and blue eyes. He was a tall man, measured at 6’5” (196 cm). He weighed 192 pounds (87 kg).
No information was found about the clothing that the decedent was wearing when they found him, nor is there any information about any clothing found near him. He had an inscription of a ghost on his left thigh, but it doesn’t appear to be a tattoo, according to Namus.
My theory on the ghost on his thigh: The decedent possibly was a college student or in medical, perhaps law or nursing school, given his age. He probably got bored during a lecture and just drew on himself. I think it’s a pen mark. Or, could be he had ADHD or something of that nature. People with ADHD tend to kind of wander off into la la land. I have it myself and I do the same thing, drawing in my notebook on the sides of my notes and drawing on myself, usually my arms and hands, sometimes my legs. It’s just a way to help me stimulate myself again. Again it’s just a theory and please take it with a grain of salt. Or, perhaps, it could be a temporary tattoo or a branding/scarification.
