"Two people are facing murder charges after the mother of one of the suspects was found buried in a 55-gallon drum in Kingman, the Mohave County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday.
Carrie Conlyn Vanover, 23, and Anthony Baldanado Jr., 31, arrested last Friday and booked on charges of first-degree murder of Shawn Maureen Vanover, the Sheriff's Office said. The victim was the mother of Carrie Vanover, officials said.
The arrests came after the agency received information about a homicide that occurred in April, the Sheriff's Office said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
After conducting surveillance, the Sheriff's Office SWAT team and detectives obtained a search warrant for a property. During the search, they found the body of the victim in a 55-gallon drum that was buried in a shallow grave in the backyard of the house, police said."
