GUILTY AZ - Susan & Rachel Brock for child sexual abuse, Chandler, 2010

There's just no doubt that Mr. Brock knew full well what his wife was doing. How much more damaging evidence has to come out before he steps down?

Fulton Brock sought sex-abuse attorneys before wife's arrest

"More than a month before the arrest of his wife, Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock asked the county's top prosecutor for a list of criminal-defense attorneys who specialize in cases involving sexual abuse of minors, The Arizona Republic has learned.

The revelation is the latest indication that Brock may have been aware of his wife's sexual involvement with a minor even though he has repeatedly denied knowledge of her crimes before her arrest...."

and

"....Brock's request of [County Attorney, Rick] Romley suggests that the politician was not totally "flabbergasted" about his wife's activities, as he has previously said.

Susan Brock, 49, was sentenced April 7 to 13 years in prison after being convicted of three counts of attempted sexual conduct with a minor.

Since his wife's arrest, Fulton, an East Valley Republican, has repeatedly refused to discuss in detail when he first learned of his wife's sexual activities with a minor...."

I sure wonder about the exact nature of this family's disfunction. I hope the creepiness only includes the wife and daughter.

An overview of this sad case and the effect on the victim:

Innocence Gone: Story of a Molested Boy
In-depth: psychological effects of sexual abuse

"It was a sex scandal that rocked and shocked the valley and the Mormon Church. The story of a mom in her 40s and her daughter in her 20s -- accusations the two sexually abused the same 14-year-old boy. What remains of that boy who seems to have disappeared from his Chandler community...?

and

"...The boy says in part, "Susan's abuse has caused me to miss so much of life… I am in an inescapable depression."

In the same hearing, a shocking tale unfolded. 48-year-old Susan Brock, a family friend of the boy's family, the wife of Maricopa County Supervisor Fulton Brock, had targeted and groomed the boy for sexual abuse from the time he was 11 -- taking him lunch at middle school when she would take her youngest daughter lunch. He was in the 6th grade...."

and

"...In court the evidence was stacked on a table. Some of the gifts Brock gave the teen were a stereo, cell phone and video games, paintball equipment, and brand name T-shirts. The sexual relationship allegedly began when he was 14 and lasted three years until Brock was arrested in October of last year...."

Does this man have absolutely no sense of dignity or reason? He's a county official, for heaven's sakes and has been caught in numerous lies. Just take the class, Mr. Brock. It's the least of your troubles right now. You might learn something.

http://www.azcentral.com/12news/new...20110526chandler-fulton-brock-waiver0601.html

Supervisor Fulton Brock denied parenting class waiver

"Despite his request to avoid it, County Supervisor Fulton Brock won't be allowed to sidestep the parenting class required of every person with a minor child who gets divorced in Arizona. "It's a statutory requirement," said attorney Keith Berkshire, who heads the family law department of Rose Law Group of Scottsdale. "I've never heard anyone request to waive it." Berkshire said it would cost $300 in legal fees to prepare a motion asking to waive a $39 course one can take online...."

I want to know why Fulton Brock still has a job. He knew and tried to cover it up. I'm tired of all of these people getting a pass.

  • #27
He not only is getting a pass but the bishops who knew are too. I suspect that some who worked with Brock's campaign and in his church also knew. Why are the people of Arizona putting up with this behavior?

It's totally beyond me.

It seems that Susan has a problem with all kinds of rules.

Wow. Twisted...all of them. This woman is especially sick and her husband should not be in public office having known how sick she was and how her sickness was destroying people's lives!

It is beyond me why Brock's supporters choose to just ignore this debacle. He was caught lying again and again. I don't get it. I'm also very bothered that the Bishops were not held accountable for their failure to report in a timely manner.
