KVOA reported that the body of Vanessa Martinez was found about 5 a.m. Tuesday. News helicopter footage showed law enforcement investigators on the scene.

Jonathan Kesterson, 26, and Olivia Martinez, 20, the baby's parents, are in the Pima County Jail and are under arrest in connection with the baby's death, according to a Pima County Sheriff's Office spokesman.

So very sad.. The two people who was supposed to protect and love her the MOST in this world and well.. they haven't been convicted yet so a BIG :sigh:

She is with the Lord and the parents will hopefully spend the next 50 years in a living hell (if they are guilty) RIP baby Vanessa....

Jonathan Niles Kesterson, 26, was found dead in his cell just after 4 a.m. He had a bed sheet tied around his neck...

The baby suffered broken ribs and a subdural hematoma before her death... Martinez said it was Kesterson who was watching the baby while she worked at a Tucson strip club and, when she returned home, the baby was dead. Fearing state Child Protective Services would take away their older child, Kesterson said he and Martinez buried Vanessa in the desert...

Child Protective Services had previously filed a report of neglect involving Martinez, because Vanessa was born with methamphetamine in her system.

A woman accused of killing her infant child by not seeking medical attention after the baby’s father violently squeezed the baby was sentenced to more than 10 years in prison.

Pima County Superior Court Judge Richard Nichols sentenced Olivia Paige Martinez on Monday following her guilty plea to manslaughter.
