This is a new documentary on Netflix about the Youtube channel which featured Piper Rockelle and her friends. They interview the parents and kids on the channel about their experiences on the show and the abuse that went on behind the scenes. It is a good watch but some parts are a little disturbing.

I watched this today. Sickening and so sad. I can think of a couple kidfluencers that are current who have always worried me.

The mother of 15-year-old YouTube star Piper Rockelle is facing multiple allegations of "harassment, molestation, and abuse" in a trial that starts Monday.

In the complaint, 11 teen content creators accuse Rockelle's mom Tiffany Smith of "emotional, verbal, physical, and at times, sexual abuse." The plaintiffs worked with Smith and her daughter from 2017-2020 as part of the "Piper Squad" and were part of various storylines that took place on Rockelle's popular YouTube channel...

At least some of the parents of kid influencers give me the same vibes as an earlier documentary featuring sports obsessed parents and their children.

That documentary starred: A golf Nazi, a basketball rager, a slogan chanting football fanatic and... a tennis sociopath .

The plot: Shove your kids towards athletic success / "success". Then, vicariously live off them.
