Barbara Billingsley "June Cleaver" Dies at 94

(CNN) -- Barbara Billingsley, who wore a classy pearl necklace and dispensed pearls of wisdom as America's quintessential mom on "Leave it to Beaver," has died at age 94, a family spokeswoman said Saturday.
The actress passed away at 2 a.m. (5 a.m. ET) Saturday at her home in Santa Monica, California, after a long illness, spokeswoman Judy Twersky said. A private memorial is being planned.

She was a lovely lady on screen and from all accounts, a lovely lady in her personal life.

And it was so great to see her "speak jive" on "Airplane". lol

She will stay alive in so many hearts.

Tony Dow is a little older than me and I had a crush on him. Very handsome guy. And Beaver of course was adorable.

I went to school with Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond). He was such a cool kid way back in the day...never pretentious or the least bit "affected". Before he did "Leave It to Beaver", he had other TV parts.

He had a big mop of blond curls, and often wore a forest green thin-wale corduroy long-sleeved shirt. Sometimes I wish I didn't remember such details, but there you have it. ;-)

He became a cop with the LAPD, and more...
