The Civil Guard has requested public assistance to identify the remains of a woman, which were found partially buried by a gardener in Benahavís (Málaga) in 2023.

The Armed Institute, lacking sufficient information to identify the deceased—who is believed to have died between 2020 and 2023—has released approximate portraits of the victim. These were created by the Forensic Anthropology Unit of the Institute of Legal Medicine (IML) of Galicia using facial reconstruction techniques

The woman was believed to be around 40 years old at the time of her death. She was likely of European origin, in good health, and about 1.60 meters tall. She had fair skin, brown or dark brown hair—though its length and style are unknown—and brown eyes. According to the Guardia Civil, an examination of her bones suggests she had given birth at least once.

I wonder if it is Violencia de genero/femicidio? A home violence case?

When I first saw your post, the sketch instantly made me think of the Spanish actress Rossy de Palma. The Jane Doe has really unique features, and I remember having that same thought a while back when I came across a missing person post. I just can’t remember if I saw it on Facebook or Interpol. I only recall that the person was from Spain or disappeared in Spain. I'll try to find it.

I agree, there’s definitely something in common. Looking at the Jane Doe sketch, I really think she could be Spanish. I assume the police describe her as European rather than specifically Spanish because there are no missing Spanish women who match her description.

Found more info. BBM

On Monday, April 24, 2023, the mummified body of a woman was found in the municipality of Benahavís, Málaga, inside a suitcase. A gardener from a residential complex in La Quinta alerted the Guardia Civil after discovering it partially buried, along with discs from a radial saw and some skeletal remains. However, the first thing he found was the skull, which he initially mistook for a ball.

I believe this is the woman I recall seeing the MP post. AYÚDANOS A ENCONTRAR a CRISTINA GARCIA FERNANDEZ

Los enigmas de la desaparición de Cristina García en Gandía: Su cuenta bancaria activa

And there's a chilling detail here I didn't know about:
"In the absence of news and a clear hypothesis, her daughters requested that Cristina García be legally declared dead in 2023. The missing woman’s daughters intended to sell a property belonging to their grandparents in Gandía, and to do so they needed to certify their mother’s death.

However, they encountered information that complicated the matter. They were informed that in 2015, financial assistance had been requested in their mother’s name, something surprising, since she had already been missing for two years.

To make matters worse, whoever was receiving this benefit continued to do so until April 2023. What is striking is that the identity of the person behind the payments has not been determined. The assistance was being collected through a bank account held in Cristina García’s name. The newspaper Levante-EMV revealed that the account had been opened at a bank in the capital of the Safor region. It had two account holders: one was Cristina, and the other was a person whose identity remains unknown.

Some people in the comments are saying it could be Raquel Pozo. I can see a resemblance to both Rossy de Palma and the Jane Doe too. Now I’m not sure which case reminded me of de Palma, maybe both, or maybe neither?!
