Hello everyone, I'm Marcos Antonio, and this is my first post here.
I would like to ask for help to if someone can upload this case into a unidentified person database because it is stuck in my head for a long time.

The case is that of the Hiper Bompreço self-immolator.

Background story is:
"A 15 to 20-year-old man put a newspaper around his groin, set it on fire and ran into the Hiper Bompreço mall defecating while on fire. He then escaped without anyone catching him. He is given as a missing person on a Brazilian missing people database. A user at the Fortean Times internet forum says that the man was probably influenced by the August 2019 widespread violent protests in Chile, in which certain retail chains were targeted by protestors, including Walmart."

The case happened in Olinda, Brazil. I call him "Olinda John Doe".

The Hiper Bompreço mall is located near the Patteo Olinda Shopping.

The story was initially thought to be a hoax, but I and my friend proved that this theory was wrong. It was real but overlooked.

Perhaps the reason I could find nothing on it is because it happened on 20 August 2019, the same day as the Rio-Niterói bridge bus kidnapping.

Description of the boy:

Wearing shorts at time of self-immolation.
Wearing a white shirt with black collar.

Could somebody help me, per example creating a news article about it? Or adding him to a unidentified person database? Might Doe Network? I want to create a Wikipedia article for this case because it is important and worrisome.

Greetings and merry christmas for everyone.

(Sorry if there is a double message, my Internet is bugged at the moment)
Bumping: Still no updates on the case, but I heard someone visited the mall and asked to the workers information about the incident, but none gave a informative reply.

Also, as I did initially requested, could someone upload this case into an international database? If this is done, the case may get attention it deserves. I don't think there are police working on this case, since it was not even written about on the Internet.

Greetings,
Marcos Antonio

Possibly finally solved? After a exhaustive search for information looking on the case, I found a video named "Explicando o ocorrido do dia 20 de agosto de 2019 no Big Bompreço coloquei fogo em mim mesmo" (Portuguese: Explaining what happened on August 20, 2019 at Big Bompreço I set myself on fire" where there is a picture of a man showing burn in the groin area. The man in the video says that his name is "Pedro" but can not shows his face "for obvious reasons". He explains that after seeing media coverage on the Rio-Niterói bridge bus kidnapping, he wanted to "do something to became notorious". He says in the video that he walked to the mall by foot, looking for newspapers and found a big one with several layers in it. When he went to the mall's parking lot, he said he hid in the cars, preparing to set himself on fire, and when he set the newspaper on fire, he ran into the mall. He says that he himself extinguished the flames while still out of the mall. When he entered the mall, he defecated because "he had diarrhea" then escaped, questioning to himself to why nobody bothered to catch him.

When he returned home, pants burned, he told to his father that he had extinguished a fire in Bairro Novo. When he went to his mother's home, he told the same story, but a breakthrough came when he went to the psychologist: he said that he had set himself on fire. "Pedro" says, that he did not want his parents to knew the real story because he was ashamed of what he done, and telling the truth would damage his family honors. He self-confessed that he searched the incident in the Internet, in the hopes of becoming famous, but found nothing related to it. He says that the Rio-Niterói bus kidnapping obfuscated the self-immolation incident.

It seems that "Pedro" later found out (as it says in the description) that he found himself on a Brazilian Missing Person Database and in Wikipedia.

Link to the video of "Pedro" confessing to be the Big Bompreço self immolator:

If that's really the self-immolator, I think it is extremely sad that he was looking for fame but did it in the most extreme way and could not get it whatsoever.
