The Mysterious Murder of Brian Foguth - Unsolved Mysteries

Brian Foguth from Brimfield, Portage County, OH. Found murdered at Duke and Duchess gas station and quick mart, at the intersection of Rt. 43 and 76, on November 28, 1994.

Working his way through school at Kent State, Brian was working a fulltime day job, and after classes he worked part-time at the Duke and Duchess. He wasn't scheduled to work that night, but he volunteered to fill in for a coworker.

Brian Foguth

"Police found that the store's surveillance tape shows a masked figure entering the store at 2:02AM and leading Brian at gun point to the back office. They were in there for approximately one minute. At 2:03AM, the robber is seen crouched behind the counter. Brian is shown putting money from the cash register into a bag. During this time, he triggers the silent alarm.
At 2:04AM, a customer arrived at the pumps, automatically ringing a bell in the back office.

The robber apparently believed that it was the sound of an alarm going off; a struggle ensued. In the process, Brian struck the robber in the face, which caused him to leave some of his blood on the floor. He was then murdered just minutes after the robber entered the store. Amazingly, the entire episode was occurring without the customer noticing it outside. The police arrived soon after the robber left. He has never been identified and Brian's murder remains unsolved."

So sad. I have just been reading about this case and remember years ago seeing it on unsolved mysteries and it’s always bothered me no one has been brought to justice. I see a lot of similarities between this case and the I-70 (I.e. .22 caliber handgun, same timeframe, geographically close, same methods used) killer has this link ever been investigated? Would love to get thoughts and really hope this case can be solved someday
