The second picture is an age progression of what Brisa might look like at 12 years old (circa 2022)

Date of birth : June 10, 2010
Date of disappearance : July 21, 2015
Missing from : Buenos Aires, Argentina
Age at time of disappearance : 5 years old
Eyes color : Brown
Hair color : Brown

Circumstances of disappearance :

Brisa Ayelén Pereyra was born on June 10, 2010. She is the daughter of Paola De Kemmeter and Daniel Pereyra. Her biological father only recognized her as his daughter but was not part of her childhood. It was Victor Sequeira, father of Brisa's older siblings (aged 8 and 11 at the time), who assumed paternal duties for all the children.

The prosecutor in charge of the case ensures that the young girl was enrolled in school but attended classes very irregularly. Her life moved back and forth between her father's residence in Lomas de Zamora and her mother's in Villa Zavaleta.

The relationship between Paola and Víctor was marked by comings and goings, meetings and disagreements, violence, addictions and abandonment.

On July 21 2015, Victor was taking back Brisa and her sister to their mother's home, but at the last time, her sister decided she liked better to stay with a father a little long. Víctor took Brisa to the corner between Alvarado and Magaldi, in Villa Zavaleta, so that she could walk the path to her mother's house alone while he watched her in said corner.

According to his statements, he did not want to cross paths with Paola De Kemmer, which is why he did not take her to the door of the house himself.

Victor claimed to have seen the girl enter his house, so he left with his other daughter.

More than a month later, on August 31, Paola and Victor met in the street and he asked her where Brisa was. She replied that she did not know, that she had dropped her off at his house on the first Tuesday of the holidays and that she had not seen her since.

The disappearance of Brisa was reported to the police station in the night of August 31 2015.

They had to pick up Brisa's biological father, Daniel Pereyra, in a police cruiser to make him testify. He had never been interested in the girl and her disappearance was not going to be an exception. He did not provide any information that might be relevant to the case.

No security camera footage of Víctor or his daughters near Alvarado and Magaldi on the dates he claimed to be there was found. His eldest daughter, however, supported his story.

Paulina and Norma De Kemmer, Brisa's maternal aunt and grandmother, took charge of making the case visible. They spoke to various media outlets and visited many places in search of answers.

They fervently affirmed that Victor Sequeira, who had several complaints of violence, knew what happened to the young girl.

According to a witness statement before the prosecution, she had heard a conversation between Brisa's father and friends at the door of a kiosk during which he said : “I sent her to Brazil and now I don’t know how to get her back.”

This statement opened a new line of investigation: the probability that Victor Sequeira sold or handed over Brisa to a network of traffickers in exchange for narcotics. This hypothesis could not be proven.

The grandmother and paternal aunt, for their part, appeared in national media to deny Paulina De Kemmer's statements about the alleged sale of Brisa in exchange for drugs.

As no important clue could ever be obtained about the minor's whereabouts, the prosecutor ordered a search of Víctor Sequeira's house, located in Villa Albertina.

There, the authorities were able to observe the state of apathy and abandonment in which the three children had lived with their father: bad smells, disorder, flies, clothes in bags thrown on the floor, the bathroom was nothing more than a part of the patio, with toilets and buckets of water, the refrigerator was unplugged as there was food inside...

Due to these terrible circumstances, the Ministry of Justice withdrew custody of the two minors from his care: his daughter was transferred to a women's shelter in the province of Buenos Aires, and his son was left in the care of the Office of the Ombudsman for Children of La Boca.
