You just have to laugh because in the name dept. I guess those "Apple's" don't fall far from the tree! LOL

Maybe its a tradition in her family??? My guess is it will be a humorous event in 20 years going to a Spears family reunion and every one is JamieLynn Jaylynn
JamesJay BrianJames, BriLynn etc etc etc.....
I wonder if Brit feels a little left out, not having the "Jamie Lynn" thing in her name?

No, I don't think she had the baby, it would be in the mainstream press if she had. Even the gossip sites are saying she apparently has not gone into the hospital, as of now.

I take exception to the spelling and I must say in that in this case it is not a deliberate mis-spelling but one that just shows her roots.

Its JAYLYNN Brittany..... Gee read a book!
Oh, come on---

Why JAYLYNN? I agree it's not a deliberate misspelling...it's how she wants her kids name to be spelled. There are many variations on names & certainly no right or wrong way---What does reading a book have to do with it?

I.E., Kerry, Keri, Kerrie, Carrie, Cari, Cary, etc.

I actually think it's a nice name. I think people would find fault with ANYTHING she named her kid.

I completely agree. If this story is true, I think it is nice that she is incorporating her family members' names like that. She has a very close relationship with her family and I think it is a nice way to honor them.

I agree. Jailynn is not a name I'd choose, I tend to go for more classical, saint/Biblical names, but it's her baby and her choice and it's nice to wants to name her after her mom and sister.

Britney can name her baby Tutti Fruitti, Rapunzel, Emily Kate, Ashley Brooke, or Banana Split for all I care. I just happened to think that since Jailynn was kind of already done, in a sense, it was just not that original. It's her baby, she has every right to name it whatever she wants, but since she's in the public eye, it's kind of hard to not have an opinion.

That isn't true...
My point was she spelled it wrong because she is to stupid to know the correct spelling.
I mean she married Fedderslime while the mother of his kids was pregnant. Then she drives with her baby on her lap....
Any doubt how dumb she is?

Oh, don't get me wrong....anyone who drives with a baby on her lap needs to 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬-slapped---there isn't any excuse for that!!! None at all. I feel very strongly about that because I myself have gone through a windshield whilst I was a passenger in a car traveling 75 mph.

And, yeah-it's totally tacky to marry someone whilst he has someone else who is prenant with his kid.

But, I still don't understand HOW it's spelled wrong? What is the correct spelling?

Maybe I'm missing something???

baby name books have it as Jaylynn.

www.babynamesworld.com has it spelled numerous different ways--

Jaelyn, Jaelynn, Jailyn, Jalyn, Jalynn, Jaylen, Jaylin, Jaylyn, Jaylynn, Jaylon.

There is no right or wrong way. It's all just a matter of personal preference, that's all.
