Looking at a picture on the Varna Airport’s website, I would describe it as surrounded by a forest or at least surrounded by woods or many trees.
That’s just my interpretation of what I am seeing.

Looking at a picture on the Varna Airport’s website, I would describe it as surrounded by a forest or at least surrounded by woods or many trees.

So you're seeing this I assume (picture from the official website linked above)

I added red and pink lines.
It's just an angle and it shows North-West part of Varna.
Woods are bit over a mile from the airport. Tree lines closer to the airport are nothing more than tree lines. Not woods. Multi-story residential buildings all around these trees.

Orange arrow aims at (more or less) what that picture shows in the backround.
Blue arrow aims at (more or less) the direction where Lars was heading when he was last seen.
And that last sighting was close to where blue and yellow meet. No woods there. Some trees and bushes.

The crucial info I learned since my last post here is that there is no official, well working dstabase of missing and unidentified people in Bulgaria NOW not to mention 11 years ago. So despite of all the efforts and quite decent publicity this case got there is a big chance that people who saw Lars never learned that hes missing.
Also more i learn more it fits with stories from and about people who got spiked and had a bad reaction to it. They dont care. Its so much worse than with drug dealers who certainly dont care about yheir clients safety and health but want good business so are more interested in returning customers than destroying their brain. And Lars was separated from his companions and while watching the game. Terribly easy to get spiked. Often more time passes, worse it gets and no doctor visit would help him if neither him or these docs knew that may be the case. If he never used any illegal or suspicious substances that would hit him even harder and without a clue whats going on.
Sadly without medical help that often leads to death, one way or another.
