"A pedestrian was killed Wednesday after being struck by a Toyota Prius in Burbank Wednesday.

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 3:07 a.m. to the westbound Ventura (134) Freeway, just west of South Buena Vista Drive where they found the victim in the second lane of the freeway, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.

The pedestrian, whose gender, name and age was not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash closed all lanes of the westbound freeway and the Buena Vista on ramp for several hours while the CHP conducted its investigation."

The decedent is a black female who was witnessed to be walking in traffic lanes of the westbound SR-134 freeway on the early morning of 9/6/2023. She was struck by a vehicle and pronounced dead at scene. She was wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black sports bra, and black socks. The decedent had two green bead bracelets. She did not have any identification but was carrying a box of cigarettes, a red lighter, and a TAP card.
