On September 8, 2025, a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed, and three other teens, aged 14, 15, and 16, were hospitalized with gunshot wounds in a Santa Ana neighborhood near 400 South Susan Street. Police believe the shooting was gang-related, and the suspect or suspects fled before officers arrived. Homicide detectives are actively seeking additional witnesses, and the public is urged to contact SAPD Homicide Detectives or submit anonymous tips to OC Crime Stoppers.
