On September 8, 2025, a 13-year-old boy was shot and killed, and three other teens, aged 14, 15, and 16, were hospitalized with gunshot wounds in a Santa Ana neighborhood near 400 South Susan Street. Police believe the shooting was gang-related, and the suspect or suspects fled before officers arrived.
