Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating a woman they believe was kidnapped by her boyfriend in Monrovia Monday morning.

Investigators believe 31-year-old Amanda Kathleen Custer was kidnapped and taken against her will by 27-year-old Robert Anthony Camou.

She was last seen being placed in the trunk of his 2017 gray Toyota Prius, CA License plate, 8AOR167. A witness told police that Custer didn’t physically resist her boyfriend when she was put in the trunk.

Monrovia police responded to domestic violence reports at the 600 block of Vaquero Road, Monrovia at 8:15 a.m. Monday morning.

They reported finding evidence of an apparent assault that had occurred at the location, including blood. ....

The article goes on to state that there was a 5-hour standoff, and that Robert Anthony Camou did not surrender until he was surrounded by SWAT vehicles, and that tear gas was used.

Horrifying. I think the witness would be able to tell if she was dead/unconscious or alive when put in the trunk. The witness stated she did not physically resist when being put in trunk so that implies she was alive. I’m worried for this woman.

They police are now focusing on the Mount Baldy area:

The Prius was reported to have been last seen Monday morning traveling north on Padua Road in Claremont toward Mount Baldy, according to investigators.

She filed a restraining order against him in February for obsessive behavior:

"He has made over 100 (phone) numbers to verbally bash me,"
"He turned around, came running at my window, and broke my double-pane window with the hatchet."

The suspect's car was seen in the Mount Baldy area at 9am Monday, which was shortly after the kidnapping. The police are asking the public to report sightings of the victim, the suspect or his car between 9am and 3:30pm.

TY for finding her FB. I see where Amanda said that her son was in Idaho with her parents, in a reply to a comment on her March 22, 2019 post. I didn't see any information about where her son was after that March 22 post. Did I miss something?

Rick Custer, the father of Amanda Custer, penned a handwritten note on Sunday pleading for the public’s help in finding his daughter, who disappeared last Monday after an alleged domestic violence dispute at her boyfriend Robert Camou’s home.

Though Camou, 27, has since been arrested by authorities in connection with Amanda’s disappearance, Rick begged anyone with information to come forward so that his family could get more answers and “bring Amanda home.”
