Huntington Search continues for missing hunters STOCKTON (AP) -
Authorities searched the banks of the San Joaquin River Sunday for signs of two young hunters whose small boat washed ashore on Christmas Day. "I'm hopeful they made it to land and will come walking out," San Joaquin County Sheriff's Lt. Fred Wilson said of the missing Stockton men, Chris Anderson, 21, and Andrew Stetler, 19. The pair left early Thursday in an 8-foot fiberglass rowboat to duck hunt in the Webb Tract area of the Delta. Their families notified sheriff's deputies after they failed to return Thursday night. Wilson said the search would resume Monday, adding, "There are many, many miles of waterways out there, and we're not sure where to look. But as a custom, we continue to search until something is found."

STOCKTON —Two Stockton duck hunters are missing in the San Joaquin Delta after leaving home with a boat Friday morning The family notified the San Joaquin sheriff's office Friday night when the men failed to return home Their pickup truck was found parked along the Delta in Sacramento County across from Web’s Tract A night search was unsuccessful but a California Highway Patrol helicopter spotted their small boat washed ashore about 12:40 pm Saturday near the Mokelumne River and Potato Slough on the San Joaquin County side of the San Joaquin River The missing men were identified as Andrew Stetler 19 and Chris Anderson 21.
