From the presser above.

Dad is in jail.

Person that took the baby was wearing a mask.

No license plate known, therefore no Amber Alert

FBI involved already

Abduction happened in only a few minutes when grandma was gone. Grandma brought baby to an apartment, went to get groceries, returned and the baby was gone.

It's an apartment complex.

What on earth? Dad is in jail? Grandma had the baby and was unloading groceries? Where is mom? This is so frightening. Of course I'm wondering why dad is in jail ... and what? a planned abduction? or a crime of opportunity. The photos of the suspect are clear, someone should recognize him. I'm hopeful for a quick recovery of this precious baby. Moo

San Jose Kidnapping: Baby Taken From Home – NBC Bay Area
Police said the suspect entered an apartment on the 1000 block of Elm Street and took the baby as the child's grandmother was unloading groceries.

"Right now, we have every available resource not only out in the field but here at the police department working this case," San Jose police Sgt. Christian Camarillo said.

This seems so slick, so ‘smooth’ for lack of a better word. Either followed grandmother and baby home on the wild chance grandmother would be distracted in just the right way to make an easy getaway? , or knew the schedule and was waiting for her? But still, a confrontation seems a really high probability from the little we know. All JMO
