*sorry if this already has a thread!

The skeletal remains of a small girl between 18 months and 3 year old were found buried in the West Cajon Valley, east of wrightwood. The torso and some limbs were not recovered.
Her PMI is listed as 5 years, and possibly as long as 10 years.

This case needs to be cooked up again. We need modern DNA techniques here, CODIS is not enough

@othram can you have a look?

Bumping case up. Considering these are modern remains, IMO this case is solvable. I wonder if anyone is still looking into this case.

Are there any exclusions shown?

Wrightwood is approximately 50 miles NE of Los Angeles and in 1994 papers is described as a small rustic mountain community with skiing. With today's map, there are only a couple of ways to access (Highway 2 or 138 - easily accessible off of I-15 with the northern section going into Nevada and southern section into the San Bernadino-Riverside area of CA).

Perhaps the person responsible was a visitor or seasonal worker whose absence would not be necessarily noted. Difficult for me to imagine a small rustic mountain community would not know of its citizens and a missing child. I'm also finding nothing in newspaper archives but will keep poking around.

Does anyone have any knowledge on the clothing found near the body? This is significant to me - if children clothing, would seem to indicate it belonged to her. Adult clothing, perhaps she was carried to the location in the clothing or maybe even another victim close by or whose body was put somewhere else.
