Chad is a white male, 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 215 pounds, with brown eyes. He has brown hair, but is balding. In his photo, he appears much older than his actual age of 23.
In 2004, Chad was living in the 42000 block of the Caspar-Little Lake Road (County Road 409). At about 6 PM on 29 June 2004, he borrowed his roommate's vehicle to drive to their mailbox. He was wearing a short sleeved T-shirt advertising Corona Beer and red and white shorts. When he had not returned after an hour, his roommate became concerned. The roommate called began searching for Chad, then called the sheriff.
The roommate's vehicle was found in a ditch near the Mendocino Woodlands Camp on the Little Lake Road (County Road 408). Chad's shoes were within it. LE conducted a search of the vicinity of the find without results. A Mendocino Woodlands Camp employee said he gave a ride to someone resembling Chad. The employee said the hitchhiker was acting erratically, and got out near Mendocino Elementary School. That is the last possible sighting of Chad. As an identifying mark, Chad has a green tattoo reading “311”. His dental information, DNA results, and fingerprints are all on file.
