The Plumas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating missing person Cheryl TADDEI.

Cheryl was last seen on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at approximately 1:30 p.m., near the roundabout intersection of Highway 20 and Highway 407 in Upper Lake, Lake County, after she exited a vehicle during an argument and did not return. She was reportedly wearing a t-shirt, blue denim skirt, and black slip-on shoes, and was carrying a duffel bag, a backpack, several plastic grocery bags, and accompanied by her tan Chihuahua. Cheryl has distinctive tattoos, including a “tiger” on her right shoulder and a “spider,” “fairy,” and the name “Johnny” on her right arm.

Cheryl has family and recent ties to Greenville and Crescent Mills in Plumas County. Her family and our office are concerned for her safety due to the time that has passed without contact.

Taddei has distinctive tattoos, depicting images such as a tiger on her right shoulder and a spider, fairy and the name Johnny on her right arm. She is missing all of her upper teeth and does not have dentures.

Plumas County is having weather down in the 20's at night, in a T shirt, skirt and slip ons, unless she had some winter wear gear in her duffel or backpack she wouldn't survive unsheltered out in that. When I first read this I thought with a duffel and backpack with her she might be homeless, if temporarily, but THIS article said the car she exited was HERS and she was arguing with her husband. That personally raises a red flag for me as the husband did NOT report her missing, her father did, many days later when he didn't hear from her.

I hope she had gear with her and also might have been familiar with places she COULD shelter safely. I had a family member who lived in Quincy, and I remember from visiting when I was a kid that it was a pretty high elevation which means bitterly cold this time of year, and also possible snow.

Plumas County in which she has resided in several towns does NOT have an online public record search function, you have to visit the courthouse in person or make a request online to the clerk.

She had two misdemeaner arrests in Butte County in 2003 as Taddei, so I'm assuming that's about the time she met the current husand and/or that is her maiden name which she reverted to and didn't change.
