The Susanville Police are searching for missing 50-year-old Christen Danae Pelletier who was reported missing in January, but has not been heard from since last October.

She is described as a five foot nine inches tall woman weighing around 140 pounds. She has blonde hair and green eyes.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Susanville Police's tip line at 1-530-502-8477.

This article has this tidbit, and makes me wonder what she told LE was going on in the 911 call:

"According to the statement, Pelletier called 911 on her cell phone requesting assistance. Unfortunately, her cell phone disconnected before dispatch could obtain information regarding her location. SPD officers checked the area of Highway 139 to just past the city limits sign with negative results."

"According to the statement, later that morning after calling 911, Pelletier was contacted on Highway 139 near Merryville Road and provided a ride to another location in the immediate area."

"According to the statement, Pelletier called 911 on her cell phone requesting assistance. Unfortunately, her cell phone disconnected before dispatch could obtain information regarding her location. Either the linked article or the Susanville PD “statement” quoted within the article (or both) are poorly worded.

A paragraph in the article reads “According to the Statement, later that morning after calling 911, Pelletier was contacted on Hwy 139 near Merryville Rd and provided a ride to another location in the immediate area”

It is unclear:

Who contacted Pelletier on Hwy 139?
Who provided Pelletier a ride? and, to
What other location was she taken?

If it was SPD who contacted her and provided her a ride to another location, why would SPD not know where she was?

Where was she last seen, and by whom?

And if she was not at the Hwy 139 / Merryville Rd. location, and not at the subsequent “other” location, couldn’t her phone have been tracked via GPS?

Just not much to go on
