Recovered/Located CA- Christopher Ray Nard, 57, Canyon Country, LA County, 9 July 2019 *Severely Depressed

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Missing Persons Unit detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating at-risk missing person Christopher Ray Nard.

He is a 57-year-old white male who was last seen at his residence on the 19000 block of Delight Street in Canyon Country on Tuesday, July 9, at approximately, 11:30 p.m.

Nard is described as 5’11” tall, 160 lbs, grey hair with a receding hairline, brown eyes and full beard.

He is severely depressed and his family members are concerned for his well-being.

Nard is being sought after a lengthy standoff Tuesday night at a home on Delight Street, which started after a dog was shot and killed in a home, The Signal reported.

The address given in Post #1, 19000 block of Delight St., is within the limits of Canyon Country community/district, which is within the city limits of Santa Clarita. I wonder why the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is the lead LE on this case? Maybe the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department handles all the missing person cases. Highlighted on the clip is the outline of Canyon Country, and it shows its position between I-5 and CA-14:

The press release didn't say if they thing Christopher may be armed. I hope LE can find him quickly.
