Ohio captive case gives hope to families of missing

When news broke this week of the shocking rescue of three kidnapped women held captive for the past decade in a Cleveland home, Jimmie Coleman’s thoughts immediately turned to his sister.

The 23-year-old woman had left her Lakeside home on a September day in 1986, carrying a box of kittens to give away at the corner store down the hill. She never returned.

Cynthia Coleman left behind her purse, her cigarettes and most importantly, her baby daughter.

Details of Disappearance
Coleman was last seen on the Barona Indian Reservation in Lakeside, California on September 3, 1986. She left her mother's home at 11:00 a.m. with a box of kittens to give away at a local store. She apparently did arrive there, and a friend of her brother's said he gave her a ride part of the way home and dropped her off at the roadside. This is the last time anyone saw her.

Coleman left behind her purse, cigarettes and her young daughter. She has never been heard from again. Few details are available in her case.

Since Coleman's disappearance, her parents, stepbrother and one brother have died. Her brother, daughter, niece and nephew are still alive and want answers in her case. She is presumed deceased.

She was pregnant! who was the father of her unborn child? perhaps he had something to do with it or somebody that didn't want her to give birth.

If the friend was the last person to see her, it's expected he would have gone to question him... It saddens me when cases like these go unsolved... He took her and left her halfway? It doesn't make sense... The friend is a suspect for a reason. The police won't reveal the guy's name... Maybe what he did to her... and where he left her body...
whatever it is
Rest in peace

Tribal Information: Many sources list Cynthia as "white", but it has been confirmed that she is from the Barona Indian Reservation.

Sounds like the "Friend" should be the main suspect and he has probably talked since. Someone knows something.
