Circumstances of Disappearance:
Woods was last seen in Long Beach, California in early 1988. He has never been heard from again.

Harvey Anthony Caron is a suspect in Woods' disappearance. He is also a suspect in the disappearance of Melinda Marie McCollom and the murder of another woman, Estella Dian Vaughan.

Woods was living in an apartment in the 4100 block of east Eighth Street for nine years at the time he went missing. In September 1987, McCollom had moved into the same apartment complex. Two months later, Caron moved in with her and he met Woods at this time, but they moved away in March 1988. Woods was reported missing the following month after mail his mother sent him was returned to her home stamped "addressee unknown."

Witnesses saw Caron removing Woods' belongings from his apartment after his disappearance, and when Woods' family members went to Caron's new apartment to speak to him, they saw Woods' red 1984 Chevrolet Camaro parked out front. Caron told the family that Woods had gone on vacation and asked Caron to keep an eye on his things, and that he never came back. He said he'd bought the car from Woods in January, but he was unable to produce the pink slip, and it was proven that Woods renewed his car insurance in February of that year.

In April 1990, Caron was convicted of stealing the car, but he was never charged in Woods' disappearance. Woods' whereabouts remain unknown.

An Ancestry profile for Dennis links this photo to him. His name is pretty common so I can't be 100% sure.
Hi yes! I have been able to verify that this is in fact the correct Dennis. Been looking into this whole web surrounding Caron for a few years now and have been unsuccessful in tracking down a photograph of him from the late 80s. This is the only photograph that I could find thusfar.
