The still-unidentified woman, thought to be in her early 20s, was walking on 98th Street in Oakland around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when a man tried to hit her with his car — then jumped out and started repeatedly punching her, according to cops.

OAKLAND, Calif. (KRON) — Thirteen days ago, a woman was beaten, kidnapped, and dragged into a stolen car in broad daylight along a busy Oakland street. The brazen kidnapping was recorded by a witness’ cellphone camera. As of Monday afternoon, the woman’s identity, whereabouts, and wellbeing still remained a mystery.

The Oakland Police Department told KRON4, “Our Domestic Violence Unit is now handling this case. Over the weekend, they conducted a canvass but received no new leads.”

The woman has been missing since March 4. That afternoon, she was walking on 98th Avenue when a man intentionally attempted to hit her with a stolen car, police said. A witness began recording while the woman was standing in a front yard. The driver got out of the car and punched the woman several times, video shows.

Wow, how scary is this! Thirteen days ago and OPD still has no idea who she is or even if she is alive.
Someone out there has to recognize this car, location, and victim/perp description?
