snipped to reply... In regards to the car, I looked at the picture again and I noticed that the smashed windshield looks like it could possibly be the result of someone shooting at the window. Not sure if a bullet was ever recovered from the scene, but if you notice in the picture, the windshield wipers are up, which indicates his car was on and moving when something hit it or when it crashed. Found this interesting video that shows what a rock hitting the windshield would look like vs. a bullet hole. The damage on Robert's windshield looks just like the bullet hole.
You're right that it appears the windshield wipers were in motion and probably the car was in motion when something hit it.
Watched the video you posted and considered all you said. Thank You for sharing your thoughts with us. Not sure it looks like a bullet hole to me. Also, I would hope if it was a bullet hole that CHP and LE would both report it as such, and surely mention it to the public. Seems they have a legal obligation to mention it to insure the public's safety. Someone shooting bullets into a car concerns anybody driving around there. Plus if there's a dead man found in a driveway near the car with bullet holes, I would think they'd include that info as an important part of the investigation.
Sadly, as you probably know, here in San Diego county, we had a rash of freeway shootings from afar that injured people, and one targeted that I know killed a young woman on the I94. Those were mentioned on the news often while it was happening. They did let the public know.
Where is the car parked in this photo?
