I am not at all sure he is, or even was, missing. Firstly, the picture in #2 is obviously not that of a 22 year old. Secondly, there are multiple family trees on Ancestry with much detail subsequent to 1959 and all of which reference both his real name and his alias. I am always reluctant to place too much reliance on such trees as errors get passed on, but with the evidence of the old man photo, the fact that at least one tree seems to be from a Morris family member and the inclusion of other photos (I attach one) - I am inclined to think he probably just moved on. The trees all seem to be consistent on him being born in 1936 in Kapuskasing, Ontario to Guy Louis Morris and Eunice Rule. After 1959, according to the trees, he seems to have gone on to at least 2 marriages with some children and to have died with most agreeing that was in 2003 in Cathedral City, California. My only problem with all this is that whilst the trees contain various records, I cannot confirm that they are correct (but see no reason to doubt).
