Mora is described as Hispanic, 5 feet, 3 inches tall, with black hair and brown eyes, weighing about 188 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt, black leggings and black shoes. She wears glasses.

Mora, a nurse, was last seen in Salinas at about 6:15 p.m. Jan. 14 at her family home.

Her silver Ford F150 pickup was found Jan. 15 abandoned on the southbound lane of Highway 101, a half mile south of Camarillo Springs, right before the concrete barrier ends and the guardrail begins. The California Highway Patrol was notified of the abandoned pickup at 5:20 a.m

To Note:
Her purse, keys to the truck and keys to her own personal vehicle, were in the truck.

Her personal credit card is missing and her cell phone was left in her bedroom.

So the CHP police report says there were scratches on the concrete barrier but I don't see mention of damage to Guadalupe's truck. Not an accident, then?

Map shows Salinas to Camarillo Springs as a 4-hour drive. She has a cousin in Oxnard, which is close to Camarillo. Was she going to visit him?

We know police report was filed at 5 a.m. Wonder when she abandoned the truck....

Had her credit card but not her phone. Odd.

The truck had some minor damage on the passenger side, and no airbags were deployed.

And no info on why she was making that drive south from Salinas? You'd think her destination would have been mentioned, unless she just got in her car and took off.

Authorities are investigating a body found in a ravine off Highway 101 south of Camarillo Springs Road Friday.

California Highway Patrol Office Ryan Ayers said a female body was found in a heavily brush-covered ravine by a Ventura County Sheriff's helicopter unit. The sheriff's office had been conducting a missing persons search in the area on Thursday, he said, but hadn't been successful with an on-the-ground search, so called for the aerial search.

The site is near the scene of a crash on Jan. 15 that has been linked to a missing woman from Salinas, but Ayers said authorities don't yet know whether the two incidents are related.

:(

I live near this area. Lot's of canyons, cactus and brush. Trying to guess where this is... there is a stretch of the 101 south of Camarillo Springs Rd where the freeway is cut into a mountain. On one side (southbound lane) there is a a large mountain and the other side (northbound lane) is completely open like a cliff. At the top of the grade there is a CHP weigh station and mountain and brush on both sides. This section from where her car was found and the CHP weigh station is uphill and steep even for some cars.

This open part has views of Santa Rosa Valley and off to the Oxnard Plain. At the bottom there are a bunch of orchards, a scenic poinsettia drive and a county park. The other side of the freeway is covered in brush but would require climbing up the side of the mountain to end up in a ravine.

I have no idea what could have happened, and it's not clear on which side of the freeway she was found, but it's possible she was trying to get to the top of the grade on foot, didn't feel safe walking on the freeway, decided to get off of it and fell down the side into a ravine.

If she needed to get help, she could have walked downhill to Camarillo Springs instead of uphill.

She has family in Oxnard. She would have had to pass through Oxnard to get to where she was. She was heading away from it.

A woman reported missing in Salinas was found dead over 260 miles away in Southern California, Salinas police confirmed to KSBW 8.

A woman's body was found in a ravine around 150 yards off southbound Highway 101 near Camarillo Springs Road on Friday.

She was identified as Guadalupe Coronel Mora, 39, of Salinas, who was listed missing by the California Department of Justice.

No foul play is suspected in her death. Her cause of death is currently unknown.

“Guadalupe had been taking medication for migraines after a fall at work months back, and her brother recalls her being disoriented and confused at times.

"We're kind of assuming that she might have taken another hit to the head and kind of just wandered off and not really known where, which is kind of our concern. If someone moved her from there, we have she might not even know where she's at," he [her brother] said.”

That story didn’t make a lot of sense to me. Hope LE gets to the bottom of this.

I agree.

According to this article:
She was last seen on Jan 14.
The truck she was in was found on Jan 15.
Her family was notified on Jan 18.
SPD did not get a missing persons report until Jan 24.

•foul play was not initially suspected, but has not been ruled out

Salinas police added that there was a delay in reporting her missing

On the face of it - very confusing. I didn't understand the whole - she lives & works in San Jose, but was "hanging out lounging in her room" in her family's home in Salinas. The truck she left in was her parents truck? Did she not own a vehicle?

She left on a Tuesday 1/14, family was contacted about the vehicle on Saturday, 1/18.

Guadalupe had been taking medication for migraines after a fall at work months back, and her brother recalls her being disoriented and confused at times.

"We're kind of assuming that she might have taken another hit to the head and kind of just wandered off and not really known where, which is kind of our concern. If someone moved her from there, we have she might not even know where she's at," he said.

So the family says she is disoriented & confused, due to what sounds like a head injury at work. But they didn't check on her for four days. Maybe some key details are missing from the story?

Her pickup truck (or rather, her parents’ truck, we’ve learned) had “apparently hit a concrete wall and had some damage to its right side.”

At around 5:20 AM on Jan. 15, a driver passing by phoned in the accident, said a CHP officer.

Her body was only about 1,000 feet from where the truck was.

I’m pathetic at visualizing distances, but looking it up, if walking 1,000 feet, it would only take one around 4 minutes. But, was it a steep hill where she fell rather than walked?

The following day, the sheriff's air unit took to the skies during daylight hours and spotted her body in the ravine.
