CA - Hannah Rachel Collins, 30, from Mississippi, found dead & wrapped in plastic by mom inside son's LA bedroom, Aug 2023 *hunt for 26yo suspect*

IMHO My goodness! What a confusing case. Hmmm I am not sure how many son's would feel comfortable leavening a dead woman wrapped in plastic in their bedroom of their mother's home. This is hinky creepy and a lot more to probably come out on this case. So weird. Hopefully, LE will find answers.

Virtually zero sons, obviously. 99.9999% of humans don't do anything such as leaving a plastic wrapped dead person in their mother's home.

Which points (to me) to severe mental illness and perhaps cognitive delays.

I do wonder if "more" will come out. There are 600,000 or more missing persons in the US (and the man wanted in this case is likely not counted as missing).

I don't think the perp, in this case, has ordinary notions of comfort.

That's pretty much how it is.

They know who this guy is. If there is an arrest/arraignment, I guess it will make news. Otherwise, there really isn't much news.

Exactly. I'm not hopeful. So many ways to hide/run away. The mother has likely given all the info she knows.

Who knows where this guy is. I doubt he fled to Mexico - plenty of US places to hide out, with which he is far more familiar. He might also suicide.

They know exactly who he is, but finding human individuals these days is a needle in the haystack kind of thing.

IMO.

They don't think foul play is involved.
He could face other charges, but they don't think it's a homicide.

Is there any evidence that he's missing other than original report?

Since they don't think foul play is involved, he would not longer be a suspect.

Exactly. No need to blast his name or have a man hunt, as this is not a murder or a kidnapping. Someone wrapped the body in plastic, of course, which is likely a crime in California. But not a big one.

Such a strange case.

Aren’t they still waiting for medical examiner’s results?
From the 8/31 article:

“As of now, LAPD is not considering this a homicide as they wait for the medical examiner to determine the official cause of her death. The medical examiner currently has the cause of death listed as "pending" as they conduct more testing.”

Manner of death is still blank
Cause of death is ‘deferred’

Still nothing. This case smells like a dead body.
