YREKA, Calif. -- Siskiyou County's prosecution team says they just don't have enough information to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ed Henline Sr. killed Hannah Zaccaglini more than a decade ago.

:bump: for Hannah, missing 16 years today. :(

Snipped:

Hannah was last seen leaving her boyfriend's apartment in McCloud, California at approximately 10:00 p.m. on June 4, 1997. She was walking to her family's residence on Minnesota Avenue near Shasta Avenue, which is one or two blocks from her boyfriend's home. Hannah never arrived and has not been seen again.

So sad. I remember visiting my uncle a long time ago in Siskiyou county and he said it was "common" for uninvited people or people who were no longer wanted to disappear. He was a gold miner and most folks out there at the time did their own thing and expected not to be bothered.

How heartbreaking. Her mom must be devastated all over again. May someone squeal soon and tell what they know to bring home Hannah and Karen.

Sheriffs continue investigation in three local cold cases
Posted Oct. 7, 2013 @ 3:01 pm

On Friday, Oct. 11, McCloud’s Hannah Zaccaglini would have celebrated her 31st birthday. Instead, her family, friends, and the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Department are still searching for answers in her June 4, 1997 disappearance, which they believe to have been a homicide.

Hannah’s case is believed to be linked to the disappearance of Karin Mero, who was 27 years old at the time of her disappearance from McCloud on or about February 15, 1997, said Siskiyou County Sheriff Jon Lopey.

“We are convinced that Hannah and Karen were victims of violence and we think we have developed sufficient investigative leads to determine reasonably what happened to these young women,” Lopey said.

poor hannah, the disappointment in love made her lose her mind, she is probably dead but the question is: what was she doing in the house of those murderers father and son? why was it for there? drugs? a vulnerable and disillusioned woman can be flogged :(
