Circumstances of Discovery
Ar 2:00 AM, paramedics and LAPD responding to a 911 call for shots fired found the decedent unresponsive on the sidewalk in front of 1611 N. Hobart in Hollywood, California. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

I wonder if he could be John Pena

Pena would have been 14=15 years old in 1994- the lowest estimated age for John Doe. He ran away with Jeffery Phillips possibly to Riverside, California on February 16, 1993. He was an inch taller and 15 pounds lighter than the decedent. Honestly, it sounds like John was malnourished. He had short hair, but the color is unknown and brown eyes. John Doe had brown eyes and short black hair. It's a shame there's no photo of Pena in his NamUs file.
