I agree. Some of the stuff is very clean. The white seems to be pretty white for a transient lifestyle. And not a lot of extra clothing. He’s also a healthy weight for someone who wouldn’t always get a good meal. I think there could be quite a story behind this one.

I researched jaguar insignia red cap and found one with an oval design. This mans red cap had a rectangular design. I think this should be a strong clue. Did he work in luxury auto sales? Did he embezzle monies and then ran off?

The brown bag looks like a bowling ball bag. Closest bowling alley is Harbor Lanes 2136 Broadway St, Eureka, CA 95501. North of there is Old Town and has multiple car dealerships.

That appears to be an alcohol bottle and handkerchief. There are multiple spots to buy liquor now. Also, there is a bus stop at the end of Elk River Rd. and he could have went anywhere.

If that piece of rope laying there is the "noose" used to hang himself, I have considerable doubts about the strength of the rope. It appears very small as if not capable of holding the weight of a 185lb adult male and, it's not dirty or red from a crime. So, maybe it's not a rope? A bent coat hanger?
