Jackie Kay Boyer, age 12, missing since 21 May 1980
Jackie was last seen in her bedroom at her home in Windsor, California at 9:30 p.m. on May 21, 1980. She has never been heard from again. She was discovered missing at 7:00 a.m. the next day. There was a chair outside the window, and the window had been pried open from the outside, but there were no indications of a struggle.

Jackie's nine-year-old brother was asleep in the room at the time of her disappearance and didn't see or hear anything, but he was a very sound sleeper. Besides the pink nightgown Jackie was wearing, $7 in cash, a maroon nylon ski jacket and blue jogging shoes were the only things that were missing from her room.

Jackie didn't have a boyfriend at the time of her disappearance and wasn't having any problems in her life. She was a sixth-grader at Starr School in 1980. Her case remains unsolved.

I don't see this young lady as having been officially ruled out. Physical stats align, additionally the young Doe was wearing a white seashell necklace. Distance is vast, however, Florida is a major hub for the missing.

Good catch. I wouldn't rule this out as possibility. Florida is far away, but after this much time, and not much to go on, its worth a look.

AimeeML, you should report your findings to the police who have her case. There have been times the coroner guesses the victims to be much older than they are! The idea you found a Jane Doe with a blue shoe and the name Kay on them is significant!

It seems Beverly was alive in 1987 using the surname Boyer.
Beverly remarried, last name Kastens when she passed away on April 10, 1994. Her and her husband were friends of my family and I can attest that she mourned the disappearance of her daughter, not knowing if she had been taken or run away. Jackie's dad, accirding to what Bev told me, could not bear the loss and not having answers to his daughter's disappearance; in his despair he took his own life.

This case is similar to Polly Klaas. Taken from a bedroom always makes me cringe. Anyone who was that reckless would not stop.

Yes, I thought the same thing, and about the same suspect. Richard Allen Davis was already abducting women when Jackie dis-appeared. There is no evidence of this being the case, but it seems from what was found at the time that it was a break in, and abduction.
