Ebony Alert - Los Angeles County. Last seen: West 8th Street and Vermont Ave., Los Angeles
@LAPDHQ
IF SEEN, CALL 9-1-1.

The spot where she was reportely seen on 8th near Vermont Street is very near a bus stop according to Google Maps. Perhaps she took a bus to leave the area to travel somewhere. I'm assuming it's just a local bus (you can click on the little bus symbol on the google map to get the bus info maybe one of you familiar with the area knows where that bus might go). 2000 W 8th St Vermont St. Los Angeles

Jahnay Altima Bryan, dob 06/25/2001

As mentioned by GraceG, she apparently indeed went missing at a bus stop, seen carrying a few bags. See link below

The criteria that needs to be met in order for it to labelled an Ebony Alert.
(“2. The missing person suffers from a mental or physical disability.”) Does it have to meet all criteria in every case?
Also, these sources say that Jahnay’s last sighting was 16th October on 2000 West 8th Street:
<modsnip - not an approved source>
<modsnip - not an approved source>
But the BAMF say that her last sighting was 15th November 2024 at the Vermont and Prospect bus stop.

Which is it?

According to the California Highway Patrol she was last seen on October 10, so I'm assuming that is accurate. The LAPD is quoted as saying that she was reported missing on October 16. I think that BAMF might have confused the date the Ebony Alert was issued with the last seen date. The Ebony Alert wasn't issued until mid-November. So:

Last seen: Oct 10
Reported Missing: Oct 16
Ebony Alert issued: Nov 16

So you’re saying the 2000 West 8th Street sighting happened on the 10th? The last locations vary as well which is so confusing.

Bryan-Gooden said she was worried her sister might have been a victim of sex trafficking. Several weeks ago, someone called the phone number on Bryan’s missing persons poster and said they had seen her in Los Angeles living with someone whom they believed to be a pimp.

Much more in link above

This is so scary!! I wish those who created the search team for Hannah in LA would assist in finding Jahnay. This girl is stunning, she would be so easy to identify.

“She had just graduated from Cornell and had all these ambitions, it is incredibly unlike her to just completely go off the grid,” Bryan's sister Jahque Bryan-Gooden told News Nation in an interview published on Friday, Dec. 20.
In an interview with Dateline, Jahque added that "going missing" was Jahnay's "biggest fear."
